I just finished reading J.K. Rowling's newest book Casual Vacancy and I really enjoyed it. This book is a decent size with about 500 pages. Unfortunately, with my busy school schedule it took me over a month and a half to read it. Although I liked the book I must say that I can see how this book may not be for everyone. If you like stories with crazy amounts of adventure and a huge amount of cliffhangers than you may be a bit bored by the simplicity of a story about a small town in the country of England. Personally I enjoy reading or watching stories that show off a person's everyday life. Even though this book may seem super simple (and to some boring), J.K. Rowling does an excellent job of putting you in the town with characters and keeps you entertained with the decisions that each character makes as well as how all the stories intertwine to create a complex story of basic humanity in today's society. I would recommend this book to more mature readers with the warning that this book can get pretty dark in parts but I think it's definitely worth the read.
Have you read any good books lately. If so I'm always looking for a new book to read. Leave some suggestions in the comments.
