Met Gala Red Carpet (Part 1)

Who doesn't love a good red carpet? I know I certainly do. Last night my friends and I watched the Met  Gala red carpet livestream from vogue.com. And while the interviews were absolutely horrible (they kept cutting people off. which is lame because I wanted to here what everyone had to say about their ensemble) the fashion was fantastic. The costume institutes exhibit opening is Punk: Chaos to Couture and oh my did many dress theme appropriate. While many chose to use this opportunity be bold, there were also many that chose to stick with more traditional red carpet dress. That is why I broke up this post into two. So todays post is going to be all about the people who chose to be daring and embrace the crazy bold eye make up, studs, spikes, cut outs, plaid, and obscure shapes that Punk is often attributed with.

My favorite dresses/esembles from this group are:
1) Emma Watson because she proved to us that she can  rock any amount of clothing and still look    elegant
2) Sienna Miller because she embraced the punk with the jacket and the head band and looks absolutely stunning
3) Sarah Jessica Parker because of the head dress. enough said
4) January Jones because of her super bold eyes and hair and just bring that little extra glamour that some of the others are missing

So there is the Punk side of the fashion on the red carpet. Make sure to check out part 2
